I didn't realize when I put this outfit on that I've worn stripes almost every day this week. Maybe I should just go for the gold (like my Olympics reference?) and rock stripes the rest of the week. Or maybe not, that could be hard on the eyes.
Also, this seems to be my summer formula. Mini skirt + shirt + necklace = comfy and cool (as in good for warm weather, not bragging about my awesomeness).
A short story about this necklace: I got it in Spain four years ago on a whim. I saw it and thought it was kind of cute, and some inner voice convinced me to buy it. I wore it a couple times on my trip, and people kept telling me how 'interesting' and 'crazy' it was. I assumed that mean weird, and I pretty much haven't worn it since.
Today, I decided the colors matched the skirt too well to not wear it. So here it is, in all it's quirkiness and chunkiness.

oh my gosh i love that skirt, emily!!! i definitely have pieces in my closet that i just can't get rid of... and 99% of the time i end up just getting rid of them. but there are a few i'm glad i've saved!
