Hi everyone! I'm Elle from Living in Color style blog! I'm a kindergarten teacher by day and a style blogger and wife to J by night. I've been blogging for a little over a year and I am so flattered and excited that Emily asked me to do a guest post on her blog! I had a blast answering these questions, and I hope they help you learn a little more about me!
1. How would you describe your style?
The three words that come to mind right away are classic, trendy, and vibrant.
2. What are your five wardrobe staples you can't live without?
Oh gosh, this is always a hard question. But I'd have to say I couldn't live without these at the moment:
-chambray shirt (and dress)
-leopard loafers
-khaki trench coat
-my Coach 'Willis' bag
-a striped top
3. Who are your celebrity style icons?
I have a serious Olsen twin fashion addiction. They just have such a knack for simple, clean and timeless items. Every outfit I see MK or Ashley wear I'm like, "I have to recreate this." I'm also inspired by Jenna Lyons for her quirkiness, and Olivia Palermo for gorgeous, trendy yet classic style.
4. What stores do you always visit when shopping?
I constantly shop at H&M because they always have the trendy, cheap items. But when I'm browsing around the mall I always gravitate towards Nordstrom, J.Crew (whoo teacher discount!), Gap, Zara, and Macy's.
5. What inspired you to start blogging?
I read fashion blogs for about a year before I decided to start one of my own. The very first blog I started reading religiously was What I Wore by Jessica, then I stumbled upon Kendi's amazing blog and the rest is history. I loved the idea of having my own little corner in the cyber world where I could share little pieces of my style and life with others. But, honestly, I've always been a little clothes obsessed so it's pretty much inevitable that I started a blog. As a little girl I was always dressed in fancy little frocks, then when I got older (especially in Jr. High) I became obsessed with styling fun outfits. I was definitely "that" girl who sported fishnet stockings with a skirt and high top converse- I always made sure my laces matched the colors of my outfit too. It was pretty serious stuff. So, as I got older my style developed into what it is now. However I like to think of fashion as something that is evolutionary- constantly developing- that's what I love about it.
6. What are a few of your favorite current trends? Least favorite?
My absolute FAVORITE trend right now is the tulle skirt. I've been scouring the internet since I laid eyes on the Anthro one, but I can't fork over $200 for a trend, so I purchased this amazingly affordable, identical version from Shabby Apple. It's seriously a dream come true. Despite my fashionable days as a 7 year old, a trend that I'm not loving very much right now are dungarees. They're just too 90's for me. haha.

You have amazing style! Off to check out your blog now. Thank you Emily for introducing me to yet another great blogger :)
