Stripes, Bikes, and a Giveaway

My Threads: Shirt: H&M (similar), Jeans: Hollister, Vest: Old Navy, Sandals: Franco Sarto via Piperlime, Bag: Calvin Klein, Scarf: c/o Kintage, Bracelet: J.Crew Factory, Watch: Michael Kors

I'm not sure why, but I think I might have a bit of a thing for bicycle prints lately. Maybe it's because they remind me of summer. But it's probably just because they are so darn adorable.

This little scarf is from an adorable online boutique called Kintage. And they are sweet enough to give one reader a &25 gift card to spend on their site. Amazing right? So get to entering!

And have an amazing weekend!

Happy Feet

My Threads: Shirt: J.Crew Factory, Jeans: Hollister, Sandals: Franco Sarto via Piperlime,
Bag: Kate Spade, Necklace: J.Crew Factory, Bracelets: J.Crew, J.Crew Factory, Forever 21,
Watch: Michael Kors

Confession: I have worn these sandals almost every single day since I got them. Which was only a week ago, but still. I think I may be a little obsessed. I definitely recommend them if you're looking for cute leather sandals! They will give you very happy feet.

I have to say, of all the shoes in all the world, I am probably happiest in sandals. I mean, if you'd like to give my a pair of Louboutins or something, I certainly won't complain. But I'd be almost as happy with a pair of Rainbows. Yes, I just compared Louboutins to Rainbows. That's how you know it's almost summer.

Happy Hump Day!

Funky Fountain

My Threads: Dress: Nordstrom Rack, Jacket: H&M, Flats: Me Too, Bag: Calvin Klein, Bracelets: Forever 21, local fair (made of recycled cymbals), Watch: Michael Kors

So I have to confess, I wear this dress a lot. Like, a lot a lot. The cost per wear for it is probably something like a dollar. And rapidly decreasing. Don't you love those pieces in your closet though?

I recruited my mom to take pictures of this outfit while we were on the Cal State Fullerton campus for a concert, and it was pretty awkward. Not only were people staring, but I almost walked into the fountain. At least three times. That would have been an extra uncomfortable situation. Wet shoes are the worst. So is falling in a fountain in front of a bunch of college students.

The concert was good, though!

Hope you had a happy weekend!

Fall Dress, Meet Spring

My Threads: Dress: Francesca's, Wedges: Dolce Vita via Marshall's, Bag: Calvin Klein, Belt: Forever 21, Necklace: Forever 21, Bracelet: J.Crew Factory, Watch: Michael Kors

Yes, I'm wearing maroon in May. This dress is probably better for fall. But i've kind of stopped trying to make my clothes fit into specific season. Probably because we don't really have seasons.

Anyway, did you watch the series finale of The Office last night?! If you didn't, you should. It was amazing. And sad. But in a happy kind of way, if that makes sense.

Also, I'm crazy excited to see Star Trek this weekend. And all the summer previews before it. Is that weird? This blog post is starting to reveal my nerdiness big time.

Hope you have a happy weekend!

Purple for Peace

My Threads: Sweater: J.Crew Factory, Shorts: Banana Republic Outlet, Sandals: TJ Maxx, Bag: street market in Florence, Necklace: JC Penny c/o RetailMeNot, Bracelet: Macy's, Watch: Michael Kors

I'll keep it short and sweet today! I'm rocking purple for peace. Because who doesn't like world peace? And because in the light of all these tragedies, it's important to unite against violence.

Happy Thursday!

I Want to Ride My Bicycle

My Threads: Tee: Gap (similar), Skirt: J.Crew Factory, Flats: Ivanka Trump via Marshalls (similar), Clutch: Coach (similar), Belt: Forever 21, Bracelets: J.Crew Factory, Francesca's, Watch: Michael Kors

It was 100 degrees here yesterday. I kid you not. So what did I want to do? Well nothing, really. It was kind of too hot to function. But warm weather (in general) is getting me super excited for summer! And I definitely want to spend summer sitting in the sand and riding bikes.

Since all my usual photo taking victims were out of town this weekend, I had my mom take a few pictures in my bicycle shirt on Sunday. Yes, Mother's Day. Mean, I know. But as soon as she saw I had bicycles on my shirt, she decided I should take pictures on a bike. And my sister's bike just so happened to match my outfit. Pretty darn convenient.

And just for the record, these are not the best bike riding shoes in the whole world. Pointy toes and pavement are not friends.

Happy Tuesday!

Minty Magic + A Giveaway

My Threads: Top: J.Crew Factory (tank version), Jeans: Target (similar), Flats: Ivanka Trump via Marshalls (similar), Bag: Kate Spade, Necklace: J.Crew Factory, Bracelets: Macy's, J.Crew Factory, Watch: Michael Kors

I've never been very good at just rocking black and white together, but I'm starting to love it a little more. You've probably noticed, but I'm a bit of a color addict. And a print addict. I still can't help throw in a little color, but I voluntarily paired white pants with a black shirt today! Which is progress. I think.

Anyway, let me tell you a sad story about this bag with a happy ending. And a helpful ending. I used it for the first time last weekend, and was crazy careful not to bump anything with it. Or spill anything on it. When Marc and I went into the movie theater to see Iron Man 3, the bag was totally clean.

Then we came out, and horror struck. The back had dark dirt smudges all over the front. Now, I don't stress over regular wear and tear on things, but this one had me pretty distressed. Mostly because I could not figure out for the life of me how the dirt got there.

When we got home, I looked up how to clean leather at home. I was about to resort to taking it in somewhere, and then I spotted it. The white magic eraser. A few minutes of strategic, gentle rubbing, and voila! Stains pretty much gone.

Moral of the story? Magic erasers really are magic! And I shouldn't own light colored bags.

And now it's time for a giveaway! The gorgeous shop, Boutique Sui Numeris, is generously giving away a $30 gift card that can be used toward anything on their site. Amazing, right? Get to entering!

Happy Friday!
